instead of searching the Milwaukee area for semi-pro coaches they know, maybe the owners should broaden their search area to a more regional or national search.
the team isn't losing because the players are that much less talented then their opponents. They are losing because only one coach on the whole staff (both the old staff and the new staff) has indoor coaching experience. The arguement that football is football and if you can coach the outdoor game you can coach the indoor game, is complete garbage. the indoor game is COMPLETELY different.
if this organization wants to turn this thing around and win games (sell tickets) they need to get folks in here with INDOOR experience. There are 7 other indoor leagues below the CIFL, start plucking key players/coaches from those leagues who have ties to the Wisc/Ill region.
Off the top of my head, the Bonecrushers should be going after these guys to coach this team: Gary Compton, former Milwaukee Mustang, head coaching experience in AF2 Todd Hammel, former Milwaukee Mustang, currently Off Coor. in AF2 (offer him the Head Coaching job) Brandon Burnside, Off. Asst. for AF2 Peoria Mike Aldrich, Def Coor., Sioux Falls Storm (UIF) Frank West, Def Coor., Bloomington (IL) Extreme (UIF) Tony Lowery, former Badger QB with AFL experience Craig Kusick, UW-Lacrosse with 4 years AFL QB experience Andy Chilcote, UW-SP with 8 years of AFL experience

Agreed but they had to do something fast or risk losing everything. i think what they did is a quick fix and shouldn't be long term. As far as those other guy/coaches with experience. Who’s going to want to come to this broken team and try to make it better for a crap salary plus have to move here? That’s not going to happen especially this year. Lets see what these guys can do. i think anything will be better then what Gilbert did even though the team will now be filled with wolfpack/ifl players

I think a guy like Burnside or West would move here considering they are currently just over the border in Illinois coaching indoor football. Both are assistants and I'm sure both would love the chance to add "Head Coach" to their resume.
The owners are the ones who would have to sell the new coach on the fact that they have their support and that it is a good situation. It's all in how you sell it. If they can't attract an up and coming INDOOR assistant coach to be there Head Coach then there is no chance for this team, now or in the future.
If they don't start winning games and selling tickets they will start losing money by the bucketful and there won't be a "next season".

its funny gilberts press conference isn't on the radio anywhere and wasn't even mentioned on 1250. good riddins, the bonecrushers used him as much as they could to get there name out and then spit him out. once again good riddins

Brown isn't the only thing the previous GM managed to use and abuse since their inception.
As excited as I am with this change up, I still agree with Arenafan; there HAS to be an indoor-oriented staff directly involved with the coordination of the onfield talent. Outdoor semi-pro guys are a nice touch, but not going to cut it. But what do I know?
